POONCH, May 11: Two-day annual day program of Jamia Zia Ul Uloom High School, Poonch, concluded today in its premises.
The function had started yesterday with the Tilawat-e-Quran-e-Pak recited by Mohammad Akram
On the first day, chief guest was MLA Haveli, Shah Mohammad Tantray, while MLA Surankote, Ch Mohammad Akram and Chief Education Officer, Poonch, Ch Lal Hussain, were guests of honour.
The welcome address was presented by Principal, Waheed A Banday, who also listed the last year achievements of the school.
On the first day, students of the school presented various cultural items beside various speeches in different languages. A group of students also presented a drama displaying ill effects of social media and television.
The second day’s proceeding was again started by Tilawat-e-Quran-e-Pak followed by welcome address of chairman, Zia Ul Uloom Group of Institutions, Maulana Sayeed A Habib.
On the second day, MLA Mendhar, Javed Ahmed Rana was the chief guest while Additional SP, Masroor Ahmed Mir and XEn PWD, Mushtaq Raina, were guests of honour.
Various classical and cultural items including a skit on the attack on the Army Public School, Peshawar, were presented today by the students. Students also showed their talent while displaying Thang Ta Marshal art fight.
On the occasion, school administration presented over 200 awards in different categories which include ‘student of the year’ award, ‘teacher of the year’ award and many more.
