UDHAMPUR, Feb 23: Debate Competition was organized by District Police Udhampur under Civic Action Programme of J&K Police at Government Degree College, Ramnagar, here.
The topic of the debate was “Violations of Traffic Rules and Rights of Road Users”.
20 students from different institutions participated in the event, wherein the winners of 1st prize was awarded a cash prize of Rs 5,000, while winners of the 2nd and 3rd prize were awarded Rs 4,000 and Rs 3,000 respectively. Certificates were also distributed among the winners and other participants on the occasion.
While floating the message in the society to follow traffic rules, participants expressed their views openly with enthusiasm and thanked Police for such awareness programmes from time to time.
Chief guest was Principal of GDC Ramnagar and guest of honour was BMO Ramnagar.
The programme was organized under the overall supervision of District SP Suleman Choudhary, SDPO Ramnagar, Abhisheik Sharma and SHO PS Ramnagar, Dr Azhar Rashid.
The 1st prize was bagged by Yash Paul of GDC Ramnagar, while the 2nd prize was clinched by Sukanya Gupta of GDC Ramnagar and the 3rd prize went to Pritksha Gupta of HSS Ramnagar.
