JAMMU, Apr 10: Jetking Panthers defeated Jetking Tigers by a margin of 45 runs in the summit clash to win the Jetking Premier League Cricket Tournament at Green Field ground, Gandhi Nagar, here.
Earlier, Put into bat, Jetking Panthers scored a fighting total of 146 runs in the stipulated 15 overs, losing 7 wickets in the process. Shariq Aziz was the top scorer with 31 runs, while Vikrant Sharma contributed 24 runs to the total.
In reply, Jetking Tigers managed to score 101 runs in the allotted 15 overs, thus lost the match by 45 runs. For his valuable 24 runs and 2 wickets, Vikrant Sharma was adjudged as man of the match.
Director of the Jetking Center, Naveen Sharma was the chief guest on the valedictory function, who distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams.
While highlighting the importance of sports and games in the present era, Mr Sharma appreciated the efforts of Sumeet Kumar and Jagdeep Singh, under whose supervision the matches were held.
