LEH, Oct 6: Twenty-six daredevil riders along with one women officer of BRO Project Himank participated in the motor cycle expedition and undertook the challenging ride across some the most hazardous and tough terrain of Ladakh starting from DBO to Leh.
The motor cycle expedition at DBO was organized by 50 Border Road Task Force which is responsible for construction of this complete road stretch from Darbuk to DBO.
The expedition was flagged off by Brigadier DM Purvimath, Chief Engineer, Project Himank.
A distance of 350 km which earlier use to take 4 to 5 days, was traveled by the Himank motor cycle dare devil riders in a day. This speed in travel has been feasible all due to the herculean efforts of 50 Border Road Task Force.
Himank motor cycle team was given a warm welcome at Leh.
Chief Engineer, Project Himank, said that the successful completion of the expedition is a feather in the cap of Project Himank, BRO. Chief Engineer emphasized on maintaining the momentum of building the critical roads of Ladakh. He also reminded the Project of its moto “BRO Creates, Connects, Cares”.
