JAMMU, Oct 6: Humming Buds–the Preschool of Model Academy organized Annual Sports Day.
Around hundred tinny toddlers from both BC Road and Residency Road branches of the school participated in various events organized on the occasion.
Joint Director MIER, Dr Adit Gupta was the chief guest on the occasion and Principal Model Academy, Parmod Srivastava was the guest of honour.
Ruchika Gupta, Project Director Humming Buds, presented the welcome address and highlighted how sports can teach much about life apart from the obvious health benefits.
Various creative and fun races were organized like Block Race, Burst the Balloon Race, Lemon and Spoon Race, Balance the Ball Race, Stick the Cotton Race etc.
Usha Chunni, Sports Officer and Amarjot, Cultural Co-ordinator motivated the children throughout the races with their commentary.
All the events were a success displaying exceptional coordination by the little Buds. Special races were also organized for the children of the inclusive wing of Model Academy.
The special children who showed great sportsman spirit proved that given equal opportunities they are at par with the others.
Later, medals were presented by Dr Adit Gupta to the winners. Participation certificates were also distributed to all the children.
