JAMMU, Mar 10: Sports activities were inaugurated at Islamia College of Science and Commerce by the College Principal with the staff cricket match between Principal Eleven and HoD’s Eleven.
The Principal was introduced with the participating players on the occasion.
HOD’s Eleven team won the toss and elected to bat first. The team scored 84 runs in the allotted 20 overs. Prof. Mohammad Qasim scored 25 runs in 34 deliveries. For Principal Eleven, Prof. Yasin Malik took 3 important wickets.
While chasing the target of 85 runs, Principal Eleven team achieved it in 12.3 overs. Gowher Sidiq was the highest scorer with 23 runs off 18 deliveries, who was declared as man of the match for his batting performance. For HOD’s Eleven, Prof Tanveer Khan took 3 wickets. The match was won by Principal Eleven by 4 wickets.
The match was organized by the Physical Education Department of the College.
