JAMMU, Mar 9: An Australian contingent led by former Parliamentarian, Pat Farmer which started ‘Spirit of India Run’ from Kanyakumari on January 26, 2016 is entering Jammu and Kashmir on March 24, 2016.
Director Tourism Jammu, R K Verma reviewed the arrangements to be put in place for the contingent during its stay in Jammu.
Detailed discussions were held on security arrangements, boarding and lodging, organizing of cultural event, conducting sight-seeing of historical places in Jammu division and preparation of promotional banners including posters, tea shirts and caps.
The meeting was informed that the contingent will conclude its “Spirit of India Run” in Srinagar on March 31, 2016.
The meeting was attended by the Joint Director Information Jammu, Chief Executive Officers of Patnitop Development Authority and Lakhanpur Sarthal, Deputy Director Publicity Tourism, Deputy General Manager, JKTDC and other concerned officers of the Tourism Department and JKTDC.
