KATHUA, Aug 4: Inter Zone District Level Competitions in the disciplines of Kho-Kho, Kabaddi and Volleyball for under-14 and 17 girls, organized by Department of Youth Services and Sports was held at Government Boys Higher Secondary School and Sports Stadium, here today.
In under-17 Kho-Kho (girls), Hiranagar trounced Lakhanpur by 2 points, whereas in under-17 Kabaddi (girls), Sallan beat Hiranagar by 11 points and in under-17 Volleyball (girls), Lakhanpur thrashed Hiranagar by 2-1 sets.
In under-14 Kho-Kho (girls), Kathua crushed Bhaddu by 3 points, in under-14 Kabaddi (girls), Kathua again added another feather to its cap by thrashing Marheen by 20 points and in under-14 Volleyball (girls), Barnoti defeated Kathua by 2-1 sets.
In under-14 Cricket (boys), Hiranagar registered victory over Kathua by 7 runs in the summit clash. Batting first, Hiranagar made 48 runs in allotted 12 overs, which Kathua team could not chase and bundled out at 41 runs in stipulated 12 overs. Hitesh of Hiranagar made 27 runs in 19 deliveries and clinched 2 wickets.
