DODA, June 20: Army in collaboration with 2nd Ind Coy NCC Bhaderwah organized prize distribution ceremony for the cadets who excelled in various events during CATC-J5 at Lalded Auditorium of University Campus Bhaderwah.
The ceremony was presided over by Lieutenant Colonel Ravinder Singh, OC NCC, while Brigadier Rohit Natyal, Commander Sec 5 RR was the chief guest and Colonel Ravi Gargotra, CO 4 RR was the guest of honour.
Dr Javed Iqbal, Associate NCC officer presented the welcome address and presented the brief report of the events like volleyball, adventure training, run for peace, tracking, bird watching and photography supported by the Army during the camp.
Speaker on the occasion, Brigadier Rohit Natyal emphasized the need of unity and discipline among the cadets. He laid stress on the cadets to acquire leadership social service and confidence building traits.
He advised the cadets for joining Indian Army and Para Military Forces as an officers and jawans.
The prizes were distributed among the cadets by Brigadier Rohit Natyal, Colonel Ravi Kumar Gargotra and Lieutenant Colonel Ravindra.
In the tournament the cadets Mehndi Hussain, Mubasir, Abid Hussain, Rahul, Haqnawaz, Amir Hussain, Kamran Anand and Sadiq Hussain got the medals, in run for peace, Mubasir Sharied and Vikas Sharma won the first prizes in senior and junior divisions respectively. In bird watching, tracking and photography, the cadets Mohammad Faisal, Ashish Manhas, Rahul Bhagat, Venay Kumar and Vicky Kumar were awarded with medals.
Among others present were Major Kulbir Singh of 4 RR, Captain Pawar, ANOs Dr Javed Iqbal, Lieutenant Sunul Kumar and Lieutenant Ramesh Kumar.
